Meet Leanne and Sheridan

Welcome to Kids 'N' Clay - Lynnwood! Co-owners, Leanne and Sheridan, are two very enthusiastic moms and business partners who want to make a difference. Our mission is
simple, introduce kids to the fabulous medium of wet clay, in an environment where
they are free to explore and create.

Leanne

Leanne Norby, Owner and
Studio Director, introducing the
wheel to a new artist-in Residence.

Leanne has been lucky enough to be a "stay-at-home" mom for the past 8 years. With the support of her family, she is now pursuing her other passion of teaching kids to work with clay. Before becoming a mother, Leanne, with a BA in graphic design, worked professionally in the publishing and advertising world but she feels that her "mom" experience is her most valuable asset that she brings to Kids 'N' Clay.
"Working with clay is such a unique experience for children; you can see the transformation when they start digging in. The idea of providing a space where children can feel safe to explore and find their inner artist is what it's all about for me."
~ Leanne Norby

Sheridan

Sheridan Haroian Owner and
Studio Director, explaining the
purpose of slip to a MudPie artist.

Sheridan grew up in the Lynnwood area. She and her husband, John, have two boys: Zachary (7 years old) and Jackson (4 years old). Sheridan used her BA in Accounting at a variety of companies, but most recently has enjoyed the pleasure of being a stay at home mom for the boys.
"I'm excited about Kids 'N' Clay for many reasons. I love working with children and its so amazing to be a part of something that allows kids to be kids. The studio fosters an environment where creativity is the only rule not the exception. Working with clay is so wonderful for children and they love it too!"
~ Sheridan Haroian
Sheridan was attracted to Kids 'N' Clay because of the unique wet clay and hand building program that allows the children an extraordinary sensory experience.
