Children's & Teens' Wet Clay Classes
WET CLAY classes for kids - weekday afternoons, early evenings and Saturdays.  Classes meet for 1-1/4 hours. Each participant works on a project from their own imagination (we have exclusive reference materials to serve as their "muse" if needed!).  Each student works at their own pace.  Instructors assist in learning pottery wheel throwing, handbuilding, sculpting, under glazing (painting), clear glazing and dip glazing.  A high ratio of instructors to students insures personal attention as the children explore their creativity and work toward project completion.  Call or email your nearest studio for times and rates - or see the schedule(s) posted on their individual page:

Summer Camps
(also, seasonal camps during winter and spring breaks)

Summer Camps are held each year for regular "artists-in-residence" as well as those "wanna-be" kids that cannot commit to the regular school year schedule.  The theme varies each year and these week-long sessions are very popular, so they typically book very quickly.  In late winter / early spring, we send a notification mailing to all current students, and parties that ask to be on the mailing list of each year and fill the camps on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please go to the "Contact us" page for the studio near you and submit your contact information and areas of interest if you wish to be placed on their mailing list.

For Spring, Holiday Season and other seasonal camps, please check with the studio nearest you for availability and to register.

Birthday Parties
Nothing is more fun than to get your hands muddy with a bunch of your friends.  At a Kids 'N' Clay birthday party, the birthday girl or boy can have fun working in wet clay (or with paint-your-own ceramics at most locations) with their friends.  Each birthday party attendee will have something to take home with them and, as an option, create a group piece for the celebrant!  Most studios offer two formats:  "Basic" (you bring food and beverages) or "Complete" (we provide food, cake and beverages).  Check with your local studio for rates, formats and available times.

Storybook Clay tm  - for ages 3-6   ...   In-studio or on-site   (check with your local studio)
We read a popular children's storybook, then work with wet clay to sculpt objects and characters from the book.  After the kids paint the projects, the staff will clear glaze and fire each piece for each participant to take home (later) as a keepsake.

Paint-your-own Ceramics   ...  In-studio or on-site   (check with your local studio)
Most Kids 'N' Clay locations also offer the popular "paint-your-own" experience (also known as "ready to paint" ceramics).  Open studio time, where you select the pieces to paint, is the standard activity, but we can also organize parties (birthday, friends' together, "Mommy & Me" groups, etc.) and even organize on-site sessions at your location ("Kids 'N' Clay To GO")!  Check with your location studio for rates and studio hours.

Scouting Parties
Scouting parties are offered at most locations - where everyone can learn about the origin of ceramics, how the process works and then actually work in wet clay to make finished pieces (wheel or hand building!).  This in-studio experience helps participants fulfill the merit badge requirements for understanding ceramics, its history and its importance in many cultures around the world.

Corporate Team-building off-sites
Even big kids have fun getting muddy together!!!  Bring your gang in for a unique experience.  We like to call clay the "great equalizer" - everyone has fun, no matter what their skill level (and it tends to level the org chart a bit just because everyone has so much fun!).  And, not to worry ... we have aprons available for everyone!
